Fabliha Anbar is a 20-year-old writer based in New York City and Editor in Chief of Sorjo Magazine, an online publication for and by the unconventional with over 60,000+ readers around the world. She is the youth coordinator for Arts & Democracy, an organization funded by the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with City Council. Her main focus is cultivating a safe environment for immigrant youth to creatively express themselves through art and culture. Fabliha is also the co-founder of the South Asian Queer + Trans Collective, a grassroots collective that amplifies the voices of the South Asian and Indo- Caribbean lgbtq+ diaspora. She utilizes the many facets of her identity in her writing and believes storytelling is a powerful tool to heal souls.
